This blog is designed to inform readers about a potential role of social media on if it increases political polarization. As a country, the United States seems like many of us are afraid or unwilling to talk to people with different political viewpoints. The goal of this blog is to try to bridge the gap between the left and the right by talking about how to overcome these obstacles. Furthermore, I will talk about the role of data these social media companies acquire and how they use them to make an algorithm in which they think the user will like, which reinforces bias in many instances.
